Uncle Steve Houdeshel began his employment at Arrowhead Day Camp as the Computer Activity Specialist in 1989. Since then, he has had many responsibilities at the Camp, including being the Head Specialist for Archery, Fishing, and Boating, reprogramming and updating the Camp database program, running the sound board for the Camp Musicals, driving a Van, and most recently, as the Transportation Director. After graduating from Millersville State College with a BS in Elementary Education in 1980, Uncle Steve taught Middle School Students in the Downingtown Area School District until his retirement in June of 2016. For the Houdeshels, Arrowhead Day Camp has been a whole family experience, with all three of their children being Campers and Counselors, Mrs. H. accompanying many of the Musical Productions, and now Grandkids Sawyer and Claire as Campers. Uncle Steve and his son, Chris, have had the opportunity to travel the world as members of the Philadelphia Boy Choir and Men’s Chorale, but they have always returned to Arrowhead Day Camp as their summer home!
