FAQ

ARROWHEAD offers a unique “all inclusive” tuition. This includes transportation, lunch, and snacks daily along with an “official” ARROWHEAD camp t-shirt, laundry bag and water bottle . The only “optional” costs would be horseback riding & our overnight weekend experiences.

Factors such as age, grade, gender and parent input are all included when placing your child. ARROWHEAD will honor bunkmate requests when reciprocated by both campers. Generally a bunk is made up of 10-16 campers based on age and gender and supervised by a Head Counselor and 2 Junior Counselors.

All head counselors and specialists must be at least 21 years of age and complete an extensive interview process. ARROWHEAD requires that all staff members have both criminal checks and child abuse clearances up to date and on file. Staff members are required to attend a pre-camp training.

We will provide house to house transportation utilizing both school buses, driven by CDL licensed drivers and supervised by ARROWHEAD staff members, and private passenger vans driven by ARROWHEAD staff members. For those parents not electing to use our house to house transportation, ARROWHEAD offers an extended day program from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm, with transportation provided by parents. Parents electing not to use Arrowhead’s transportation or Extended Day hours can receive a $50 week tuition discount, however drop off must be no earlier than 9:30 am and pickup no later than 3 pm. ARROWHEAD is a “Peanut-Free” camp. We require an individualized camper health form to be completed and submitted by the parent prior to camps start date. Health forms will be reviewed by our registered camp nurse. All food allergies and dietary concerns will then be communicated with our Mess Hall director, Division Director and Individual Counselor to ensure the safety of your child. ARROWHEAD will give each camper an individualized swim test during their first day of swim instruction. Campers are placed based on their swim abilities and comfort in the water. Our lifeguards will instruct in groups ranging from 4 – 8 campers spaced out in our 4 heated pools. Your child’s progress will be communicated to you via an ARROWHEAD Swim Card when they graduate to the next swim level. Campers will also participate in Free Swim daily. Campers that are unable to swim due to swimmers ear, injury, etc. will spend that period supervised by their Junior Counselor and engaged in various alternate activities. For your child’s safety, please make sure your child arrives to camp everyday wearing sneakers (no flip flops or sandals). Parents should also apply sunscreen every morning to their child, ARROWHEAD staff will reapply after each swim. Each camper will be provided with an ARROWHEAD laundry bag and reusable water bottle.
